Arrival by Public Transport

In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there are stops for the city bus lines 12, 25, 26. It's just a few minutes' walk along the Danube upstream to the historic, baroque city center with its numerous shopping and sightseeing opportunities. This is where you'll find Landstraße, Upper Austria's largest shopping street.

From Linz Main Station to the Hotel 

Take bus line 12 towards Karlhof and get off at the Parkbad stop, which is located directly in front of our hotel. Or you can take tram 1, 2, 3 or 4 to the Taubenmarkt station and then take bus 26 from there to the Brucknerhaus station. Alternatively, you can walk from the main square, past the Lentos Art Museum and the Brucknerhaus, to the hotel in 10 minutes.

From Linz Airport to the Hotel 

Take airport bus 601 to the stop "Hauptbahnhof Linz Busterminal" (Main Station Linz Bus Terminal) and from there take bus 12 to the Parkbad stop. Or you can take tram 1, 2, 3 or 4 to the Hauptplatz (Main Square) station and then take bus 26 from the "Obere Donaulände" stop to the Brucknerhaus station.

The Danube Cycle Path runs along the Danube. The section from Passau to Vienna is one of the most popular cycling routes in Europe. Along the Linz riverside area, there are many opportunities for a break: Visit the Ars Electronica Center or come to the uferei for refreshments.

Running Routes in Linz along the Danube

The location of our hotel on the banks of the Danube provides ideal conditions for extended runs along the river. The routes can be on asphalt, gravel, or grass. Put on your running shoes & off you go!

Danube Dam Running Route

- Route length: 8.35 km

- Route profile: easy, flat

- Fitness trail: just before the 2 km mark; length 1.0 km

To get to the starting point of this route, cross the Nibelungen Bridge, keep right along the Danube and cross the Urfahraner market area. The running route takes you from the Lindbauer inn optionally over asphalt, gravel or grass paths through the Plesching water protection area and back along the Danube dam.

Since 2015, ARCOTEL has been committed to bee conservation with the "Give Bees a Chance" initiative. Hotel guests can participate by opting out of room cleaning. Ars Electronica

The ARS Electronica Center in Linz is an innovative museum specializing in technological progress and digitalization. Under the motto "Navigating the Future", it offers exhibitions on art, technology, and society, where visitors can observe Artificial Intelligence, program robots, and try out 3D printing, among other things. The striking building with its LED facade, which glows in colorful lights at night, also hosts the annual festival and the renowned Prix Ars Electronica.

Brucknerhaus

The Brucknerhaus in Linz is a renowned concert hall and cultural center, named after the famous Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. It impresses not only with its modern architecture right on the Danube but also with its diverse program of classical concerts, contemporary music, and cultural events. A visit to the Brucknerhaus is particularly convenient for guests of ARCOTEL Nike, as the hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the concert hall. Linz Mariendom (New Cathedral)

The Linz Mariendom, also known as the New Cathedral, is an impressive landmark of the city and the largest church in Austria. With its neo-Gothic architecture and a capacity for up to 20,000 people, it offers a breathtaking sight both from the outside and inside. The Mariendom offers the highest viewing opportunity on a church in Austria with its stone balcony. 633 steps lead to the platform at the top of the tower. At a height of 112 meters, those who are not afraid of heights can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view over Linz, the Danube, and in clear weather even to the Salzkammergut and the Ötscher. A visit to the Mariendom, which was built between 1862 and 1924, is a must for every Linz visitor and offers a fascinating insight into the history and culture of the city.

Linz Castle

Linz Castle sits atop a hill overlooking the old town and the Danube, with a history dating back to 799. Over the centuries, it served various purposes, from imperial residence to barracks, before being transformed into today's Castle Museum. Lentos Museum

The Lentos Art Museum, located directly on the Danube, is an architectural highlight of Linz with its distinctive glass facade. With the Linz Card, visitors can explore the city on the Danube at a great value. The card offers free entry to Linz museums, unlimited rides on Linz AG public transport, and many discounts. You can choose between a 1-day, 2-day, or 3-day card. The Linz Card is available online, at the Tourist Information on the main square, and in selected museums.

Use the lower arrow button to decrease the temperature.

The display will show an adjustment, for example +1.0, +2.0 or -1.0. This means that the desired temperature has been adjusted accordingly.

Setting the fan speed

If AUTO is shown on the display, the system controls the fan automatically.

If needed, you can also adjust the fan speed manually. To do this, use the buttons with the fan symbol. The available levels are 0, 1, 2 and 3.

0 means no or very low ventilation.
3 is the highest fan speed.
